Turn off shading for levels

#1

Is there a way to toggle on/off the shading for existing and proposed levels so that the base drawings can be viewed without the colours shown
This would be handy instead of having to switch between Kubla Cubed and a pdf viewer

Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi Karl,

We have identified this as a bit of an issue and we have plans for the future to have a separate tab for the drawings on their own.  Unfortunately there's not a toggle button at the moment.  We've always been reluctant to add toggles which can cause everything to disappear, since users can get very confused it they hit it accidentally.

For now, you can see the drawings on their own by doing the following:

1) Set the background colour for the software to display to white, if it's not already. 'Display'->'Panels'->'Background Colour'
2) Create a new shading scheme for the existing levels in which all levels are shown white.
3) Create a new tab, name it 'Drawings' or something similar, and then turn off the lighting for this tab.  Lighting options are a toggle in bottom left of the 'Display' panel to the right of the main screen.

If you make sure you don't ever add earthworks to this tab, then you can just switch to this tab whenever you want to see the drawings alone.  The terrain will still be there, but since it's showing white and with no relief shading you won't see it.

Hope this helps,

Leo
