Manual Outlines - AK Survey - 06-26-2025
Hello,
While measuring stockpiles, Kubla doesn't always give me the option to manually select outline using ground levels. Can someone please let me know if I'm doing something wrong?

Hi Brad,
Welcome to the forums!
In case you haven't watched it already we recently released a video on stockpile estimating with Kubla Cubed.
Off the top of my head, I’m not entirely sure what’s going wrong there—there isn’t a known issue related to that at the moment. I’d suggest checking the following:
A) Make sure you're working in the Proposed phase. The "Ground Level" option isn’t available in the Existing phase, as there’s no ground to pin to. You may have accidentally been defining a stockpile outline in the Existing phase, within the same Feature Surface as the points. If so, that’s incorrect—it needs to be in the Proposed phase within a new Feature Surface.
B) Another possibility is that you’re using a Platform to define the proposed outline. This element doesn’t include a ground level outline—only Feature Surfaces do. So make sure you’ve selected a Feature Surface when setting this up.
