Kubla generating multiple lines when exporting to AutoCAD

#1

Whenever I generate a CAD file from a Kubla project and it doesn't matter if its just from the existing base or from several levels, I always end up with multiple lines of the same contour line, which gives me significant issues with the CAD software I use.  I've tried using OVERKILL on AutoCAD to remove redundant lines but this doesn't seem to work.

Anyone have any tips for generating contour lines with a single line rather than several?

Thanks!

Hi @timetomakestracks,

Thanks for raising this. You're right, in previous versions of Kubla Cubed it could sometimes generate multiple overlapping contour lines when exporting to CAD, depending on the export settings used.
Good news: I've fixed this issue in the upcoming V7.4 release.
In V7.4, the CAD export process has been improved to prevent redundant multiple lines on the same contour, resulting in much cleaner exports.
If you need a fix before the official release, we’d be happy to test your specific project files for you.
Just email support@kublasoftware.com with:
  • A copy of your project
  • A screenshot of your export options
  • A brief note describing what you’re seeing
We'll run it through our latest version and confirm if the export behaves as you expect.

Best,
Lloyd

Thanks Lloyd,

That's really good news - I've been having to effectively trace contour lines for quite a while now as a 'quick' work around!
