Hi Tim,
We’re in the final stages of testing now. I’ve just got a bit of CAD testing left to finish up and, assuming that all goes well, we’re aiming to release next week.
This one’s got a lot of updates in it. Progress has been a bit stop-start because we’ve been working on Kubla Cubed 2026/2027 (most likely 2027) at the same time, which makes jumping between versions harder than it sounds. On top of that, a fairly major CAD update (including a third-party library upgrade) meant we had to revisit and redo quite a bit of work.
It’s felt a bit like having the ship in dry dock for a while — but we’re just about ready to set sail again. There are some really big and exciting things coming in 2026/2027.

Ted,
I was eager to install the 7.4 update yesterday. Everything seemed fine until I attempted to import a CAD file. It repeatedly crashed at every attempt regardless of which CAD file I chose.
I have since uninstalled and am using 7.3 until I can figure this out.
I have recently migrated to the computer specs below so I can't rule the migration out, however 7.3 runs fine on this setup.
Thanks,
Nathan
OS Name Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Processor 12th Gen Intel® Core i9-12900KF, 3200 Mhz, 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
Adapter Type NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, NVIDIA compatible

Hi Nate
Sorry to hear you’re having issues importing CAD files in v7.4. We’ve tested this area extensively across a wide range of laptop specifications, so it’s not a known general issue. I’ll ask the technical lead on the project to get in touch with you directly, and we should be able to get to the bottom of it quickly. It could be that it didn't install fully or an anti-virus blocked some files from installing, we have seen that recently.

I will attempt to download and reinstall the software again after disabling windows antivirus and report back.

Disabling the antivirus did not work. It was worth a shot.
I can wait for the technical lead. 7.3 still works great, I just get really excited when there is an update.
Thanks again,
Nathan

Morning All,
Everything appears to working fine, but to be fair I rarely have the opportunity to work with CAD files.
Cheers
