  Geotech borehole logs
Posted by: conradccb - 07-05-2021, 02:57 AM - Replies (3)

Hi,
is there a way to input borehole log data from a geotech report, in order to calculate quantities of different material types?
Another software I previously used, you could pick points on the plan, manually type in your material depths fro the log, and it would extrapolate the data into layers.

i.e then you end up with cut/fill volumes for rock, clay, topsoil, etc.

Thanks

Path or slope or something else???
Posted by: timetomaketracks - 06-04-2021, 03:06 PM - Replies (1)

I have an existing topo survey.  I also have a final restoration contour plan.  I am trying to work out the volume of mineral which cannot be extracted due to a pipeline running across the site.  I would be obliged if anyone could suggest the best route to determine this.  The pipeline 'corridor' is approx 40m and I don't need batters taking into account.

Any help appreciated!

OK - use of an outline gives me what I needed - but how to calculate the volume of material within the strip??

  Earthworks Quantities by Depth (SMM7)
Posted by: kclark08 - 06-01-2021, 11:10 AM - Replies (3)

Good afternoon everyone,

I have recently started using kubla cubed to generate cut and fill earthworks quantities for use in BoQs and have ran into a problem.

SMM7, the method of measurement I am using, requires depths of excavation to be given as not exceeding 0.25m, 1m, 2m, 4m, 6m depths and so on.

Is there a way that kubla cubed can provide this information in the way I need?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is this able to do a site strip and then a foundation trench excavation volume for the plots on a site layout?

  Changing multiple platform offsets
Posted by: Cut and Phil - 05-19-2021, 08:21 AM - Replies (1)

Is it possible to change multiple platform offsets (and other similar settings) at once rather than having to click and change each one individually?

I'm doing my first project in Kubla Cubed and it's a residential scheme of approximately 200 plots.  I've got lots of different platforms at varying levels but I'd like to be able to change all of them at the same time to be sure that I have consistency with all their options.  I was playing about with various settings such as offset, batter, cut/fill mode and to go through and amend/update all of them individually is time consuming.
