Increase Outline by #5 for Building Pad

Howdy,

I frequently have to determine outlines based on being larger than a design structure. Examples are a building pad needing to be 5' larger than the building on the plan, or a parking lot excavation needing to be a foot larger than the defined parking structure.  Is there an easy way to do this?

Currently, I add measurements all over the place from the designed structure to whatever outline I need. It just takes more time/tedious than I'd like so I'm hoping for a clever solution.

Good question. Kubla Cubed (2021 and newer) features a line 'Offset Tool' within the editor. After editing an element, select one of the lines (in your case an outline). To add the offset line...

Click on the tools button (it has a hammer and spanner symbol image).
   

Click either left or right of the line to be offset. This will provide you with customisation options, before you click 'finish'.
